Goals/Life Update - Day 221/1001
May. 13th, 2012 11:29 pm"A warrior is a hunter. He calculates everything. That's control. Once his calculations are over, he acts. He lets go. That's abandon. A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ~ Carlos Castaneda, Journey to Ixtlan
Goals Completed: 8
Goals in Progress: 25
Body: I only trained one day this week (#1, #2, #11), but it was a triple class in the dojang in Seguin, including a Dan prep class, a review of staff forms, and self-defense. I'm still two classes back. I've made small progress with pushups (#5) and situps (#6).
Mind: I've finished Castaneda's Journey to Ixtlan (#28), and I've started The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom (A Toltec Wisdom Book), by Don Miguel Ruiz (#28). I've also continued my mindful eating practice (#27) this week.
Work: Still cutting down and controlling my work email (#50). One more week until completion of this goal. *smile*
Life: I volunteered yet again at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore this week (#77). I've completed my biannual American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers class (#70). Also, 'Ol Number 3 got her spare tire mount fabricated, as well as 800 pounds of traction weight removed, and her rear fender re-attached with bolts not 30+ years old. She's also gotten more painting done on her interior, thanks to Steph. I've tried part of a Triple Chocolate Pizookie (#68). I've ordered a Nook Simple Touch (#99), which should free up some more storage space. Additionally, the team of StephGail and the Innocent Bystanders and I have found three FTFs this week, although no new Difficulty/Terrain combinations (#96).
