Goals/Life Update - Day 431/1001
Dec. 9th, 2012 06:13 pm"At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us." - Albert Schweitzer
Goals Completed: 17
Goals in Progress: 29
Body: I trained/taught a double-class at the Seguin dojang, and trained a single class at San Marcos this week. There's been no change to the number of makeup classes owed to myself (#1, #2). I did manage to get a blocking elbow to my right foot, which is very bruised and swollen. Baseline on push-ups and sit-ups (#5, #6). I did not manage to continue a better sleep regimen this week (#14), averaging 6 or less hours a night. I'll work to do better this week.
Mind: Still reading Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind (#28). I'll be talking to Sienna tonight (#26). I've managed to meditate more days than not this week. (#39).
Work: No progress on starting any of the preliminary classes completed on-line for acquiring a Disaster Response specialization (#49), although I'm now part of the American Red Cross Learning Management System.
Life: Again, no progress on the Sportster (#75) project. Steph scored us free tickets to the KGSR 22nd Anniversary Party, and we listened to performances at the Austin City Limits/Moody Theater of Civil Twilight, Suzanna Choffel, Mile Greene, and Delta Rae. (#92). No real family progress. It's now very likely we'll be rolling away from Hotel Mearse on January 1.
This week on 'Ol Number 3: The backboard and three of four storage boxes for the roof have been repaired and painted and are drying. Ol' Number 3 has all new paint in her interior, a warm two-tone grey, with red stripes for the rivet-lines - thanks to Steph. It's a bit of a construction mess right now, but once the paint dries, she'll look beautiful. This week will be colder and rain is likely, so this will be a good week to organize and put everything back into place after painting and continue the transfer/transition of stuff from Hotel Mearse to 'Ol Number 3. Loadout may be as soon as 21 days.
