These questions have no right or wrong answers.
Because sometimes asking the right questions is the answer.

1. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are? 25.
2. Which is worse, failing or never trying? Never trying. Failing is expected; we all fail at times.
3. If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do? Because we are taught to compromise, instead of living up to our fullest potential. Imagine what would have happened had we been taught differently.
4. When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done? No. My 101/1001 list manifests and then documents that.
5. What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world? Black and white, non-critical thinking.
6. If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich? What I’m already doing. *smile*
7. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing? Both. I’m working in the mental health field, but below my education and training. I’ll be working on that once I get back to Oregon.
8. If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently? Harder. Better. Faster. Stronger.
9. To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken? Quite a bit. It’s hard work to be ready for what the universe offers.
10. Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things? Do the right thing. It’ll get done as it’s supposed to.
11. You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do? A smile, and a quiet word, and a hypothetical situation are often gentle teachers.
12. If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be? Believe in yourself.
13. Would you break the law to save a loved one? Almost always.
14. Have you ever seen insanity where you later saw creativity? I work with the mentally ill, and I have learned that both insanity and creativity are often related.
15. What’s something you know you do differently than most people? Tactical awareness, and the approach to life as a Warrior.
16. How come the things that make you happy don’t make everyone happy? Not everyone is suited to be a Warrior. Some fall in love with the ideal, some make a big deal of it, but when it get to the training and self-disciple over years … most find that doesn’t suit them.
17. What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? What’s holding you back? International travel, to experience different cultures and martial arts. Money, and time.
18. Are you holding onto something you need to let go of? No. My life, for several years, has been clearing out that which does not serve.
19. If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why? I’m moving back to Oregon/PNW. Texas has the worst healthcare delivery system, and one of the worst education systems – and it’s starting to show.
20. Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster? No. I’ll do it as a joke.
21. Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton? I’m no simpleton, nor a genius – I’d rather be joyful.
22. Why are you, you? I am.
23. Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend? Not always, and especially not in Texas.
24. Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you? Neither choices are bad. That’s the way the Universe is; when I’m supposed to be with that person, it’ll happen.
25. What are you most grateful for? My health, those people who support me, and my family.
26. Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones? Neither. Learning, and remembering what we learned, is why we are here.
27. Is it possible to know the truth without challenging it first? No.
28. Has your greatest fear ever come true? Not yet.
29. Do you remember that time 5 years ago when you were extremely upset? Does it really matter now? Yes. No.
30. What is your happiest childhood memory? What makes it so special? Driving around with my Dad gathering soil samples in Florida. Being outside and spending time seeing and experiencing what Dad did.
31. At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive? Competing.
32. If not now, then when? In about a month, I’ll be competing against myself.
33. If you haven’t achieved it yet, what do you have to lose? There is only overcoming fear.
34. Have you ever been with someone, said nothing, and walked away feeling like you just had the best conversation ever? Yes. Kristi has a knack for that.
35. Why do religions that support love cause so many wars? People ‘belong’ to a religion, and any religion that depends on making people feel in any way but peaceful, starts conflict.
36. Is it possible to know, without a doubt, what is good and what is evil? No. There is good in evil, and evil in good, as a balance. Perhaps we should use another construct; good and evil seem to start conflict.
37. If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job? No. I would do a lot more traveling.
38. Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing? I would keep working, but only with clients that were motivated and engaged.

41. If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today? My parents. My mother, especially.
42. Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 10 years to become extremely attractive or famous? No.
43. What is the difference between being alive and truly living? Risk.
44. When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right? When one gets that feeling in the their gut – go for it.
45. If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake? Our poor educational system, and our sociocultural system of fear, teaches us this. One has to unlearn that lesson.
46. What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you?
47. When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing? Today. I notice my breathing regularly.
48. What do you love? Have any of your recent actions openly expressed this love? My family – I’m still in Texas.
49. In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday? What about the day before that? Or the day before that? No. Daily memories are less important. Live for the present.
50. Decisions are being made right now. The question is: Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you? Some decisions I choose to have others make. I’ll focus on the decisions that seem to be the most important for me.
