Goals Completed: 32
Goals in Progress: 25

Today, being the last non-rainy day for a while, was spent cutting back blackberries and weeds again. I cut a path to what I thought was the pumphouse – and cleared the door. However, it turned out to be the “old” pumphouse – and there was no pump once I was able to get inside. All of the morning’s work was spent clearing a path to an abandoned building.

The afternoon was spent clearing a space in the field for the burn barrel – and we found a rusty horse trough at the old pumphouse that will work as our burn barrel, so there was a silver lining to the morning’s work. I’ll likely tear down the old pumphouse, as it’s pretty unsafe.

I’ve started my supplemental goal of learning 50 new words, thanks to one of the LiveJournal communities. My first new word: crepitate (KREP-i-tayt) - v., to make a cracking or popping sound.
