Goals/Life Update - Day 736/1001
Oct. 8th, 2013 06:16 pmI think the thing to do is enjoy the ride while you're on it. ~ Johnny Depp
Goals in Progress: 26
I spent a third day at the burn barrel on one of the recent sunny days. I burned yet more of the house paper garbage, all of the yard debris in the side yard, and all of the old pumphouse. The fruit trees were trimmed back just enough to allow access to the stairs at the bottom of the deck, and the garden field was cleared of much of the high grass and weeds.
I’ve met with Sienna, and I believe we are ready to start preparations for another ShivaShakti Puja in November. This weekend there is also Decompression, where I have signed up for ranger shifts. There is also a plan to restart running and fitness goals (#3, #5, #6).
I’ve made more progress with organizing my hard drives/music (#102). I have finally figured out the pattern and the rules for soduku, and I have completed four moderate-level online soduku puzzles and one high-difficulty puzzle as a further challenge to complete this supplemental goal. The new words of the day: ilunga (Congo), the state of a person who is ready to forgive a first abuse, tolerate a second one, but never forgive or tolerate a third offense, and arigata meiwaku (Japan),"unwelcome kindness" or "misplaced kindness".
