Goals/Life Update - Day 296/1001
Apr. 23rd, 2015 03:45 pm“Great minds have purposes; little minds have wishes. Little minds are subdued by misfortunes; great minds rise above them." — Washington Irving
Goals Completed: 9
Goals in Progress: 27
Last week I was again only able to train for two hours (#01, #10), but I made up for last week with an extra class this week, and I’m planning on attending World Tai Chi Day this weekend for extra training. I’m still continuing my daily meditation practice (#22). Despite a minor injury delaying pushups and situps for a week, I’m back to five sets of 40 push-ups and sit-ups (#07, #08) on non-training days.
Additionally, I’ve found a few more Grimm geocaches (#86) and written my monthly haiku (#19). I’ve also had a meeting with my clinical supervisor (#42) and I’m beginning to consider the licensure process (#39). We’re relocating back to our newly-remodeled office next month, and this seems a good time to get that ball rolling.
At the Firefighter Academy (#67), we practiced supply line and attack line connects and hose drills, and I was oriented to both my assigned engine (Engine 487) and the station I’ll be assigned to, once I’m certified. Next weekend we’re learning Forcible Entry, Construction and Tools and starting Wildland Firefighting.
