Goals/Life Update - Day 284/1001
Apr. 11th, 2015 09:17 pmAn individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity. - Martin Luther King, Jr.
Goals Completed: 9
Goals in Progress: 27
Last week I was only able to train for two hours (#01, #10), but we’ve started to add a new staff form (#03). This week, I made up for last week with an extra class. Also, I’m still continuing my daily meditation practice (#22), and I’ve again increased to five sets of 40 push-ups and sit-ups (#07, #08) on non-training days. Steph and I went to see The Silent Comedy (#99) at the Edgefield, and I won two free tickets to see Richard Cheese!
At the Firefighter Academy (#67), we were familiarized with all of the power tools and equipment on the different engines, and practiced Firefighter Rescue/Extrication from constricted spaces and getting a downed/unconscious Firefighter out of a window. Tomorrow, we’ll go to the MERTS facility in Astoria and put everything we’ve learned together, and test our skills.
