Goals/Life Update - Day 317/1001
May. 14th, 2015 10:20 amCharacter is the architecture of the being. - Louise Nevelson
Goals Completed: 10
Goals in Progress: 28
This has been a busy month. *smile* In the beginning of the month, we saw Richard Cheese (#99) – a fun show. Then a week of work, and then off to North Carolina to watch the Deshi graduate with her MSW. While there, I found some barbeque and hushpuppies, as well as history and geocaches. I visited four museums (#32), including the USS North Carolina, the last WWII Battleship. I also finished Kornfield’s A Path With Heart (#18) and wrote my monthly haiku (#18) while I was there. I’m still working on maximum repetitions of push-ups and sit-ups (#07, #08) on non-training days, although I took a few days off in North Carolina.
The Firefighter Academy (#67) is wrapping up at the end of the month. Today and this week I’ll train to become a Wildland Firefighter 2, a priority of the Academy as brush fire/forest fire season is upon us – and those are the calls where I’m mostly likely to be needed. This weekend is a Conflagration simulation and I’ll be gone overnight (#92). I’ll have some makeup I‘ll have to complete from being in North Carolina and going to Flipside (#91) at the end of the month, but I’ll graduate with my class.
