Goals/Life Update - Day 768/1001
Aug. 7th, 2016 10:45 amSay little, and love much; give all, judge no man; aspire to all that is pure and good. - White Eagle
Goals Completed: 25
Goals in Progress: 25
I bought a nice used bicycle for Burning Man (#09), and I expect to work less and bicycle more this year. I’ll still do some Rangering, and I’ll also work for the Black Rock City Fire Department for the first year, but I intend to get out and see more of the city and art than I have in past years.
Although I was planning on taking a roadtrip without destination next week (#90), several other issues have come up that require that I stay local and accomplish a lot of small tasks. I’m still working on getting all of the documents needed for licensure (#39); some of the paperwork is very time-consuming. Instead, I’ll engage in my yearly fast (#15), since I already took the week off from clients.
I’m still working on completing long-term goals. I’ve still re-reading The Peaceful Warrior (#17), and still getting good insights after all of the times I’ve read it. I’m in a mood to write August’s haiku (#19).
Yesterday I went wading in knee deep water, searching for a black bison tube hidden in a fallen tree, but we found it - and I completed my goal to complete all 81 difficulty/terrain ratings of geocaches (#82). This was an added day to a roadtrip (#92) to Southern Oregon to get many of the geocaches for the Oregon History Challenge (#85), go by the Roseburg McMenamin’s to get a stamp for my second passport (a supplemental goal), and find a cache hidden in a month I hadn’t yet found (#84). It was an epic and grueling roadtrip with many hikes over hilly terrain, and we found caches in the rain and sleet, in the dark, and in high heat. I only have two caches left hidden in months I haven’t found, and neither of them are in Oregon. I only have five caches left for the Oregon History Challenge, and plans to get at least two of those. *smile*.
