The Second March 2018 101/1001 Update
Mar. 18th, 2018 08:10 pmFocused action beats brilliance any day. - Art Turock
Goals Completed: 13
Goals in Progress: 37
Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: I'm still not working out at the gym; other things continue to outprioritize that. I'm still planning on adjusting my baseline, maybe at work, maybe tomorrow. I have managed to train for double two-hour classes the last three weeks, and I'm making some improvement on regaining with technique and power.
Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I still do not have a consistently good sleeping practice, and I had taken a few days break from my mindful eating practice. I'm eating more nuts and fruit, and I have not eaten hardly any meat for over a month. Still no progress with haiku, and little formal reading or meditation.
Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: No progress, although I have some CEUs scheduled for next week.
In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: I've sold the 4000W generator in Ol' Number 3 to make more space in the Command Center. I have been formally made an Intern at the fire department, met with my college advisors, and signed up for my first term of classes. I'll start my 40-48 hour weekly shift at the station and will be attending college classes in less than two weeks. Because of the way the term schedule is for this term, all of my classes are fire-related. I heard back from the Ranger Intercept Cadre this week that the Whorse has been cleared to work as a Ranger asset this year - so today the Whorse got a bit of repair and cleaning, and a more comprehensive list was made of what she needs for rehab and repair.
Travel/Adventure/Doing Stuff: I spent a nice evening with Carla enjoying Kodachrome at the Portland Center Stage/Armory with a friend who works there - so free tickets! The previous weekend was a great geocaching hike double-header with Carla at the Tacoma Cosmic Tripster party and a geocaching walk around Tacoma on Saturday, and then a long hike in Wallace Falls State Park on Sunday. This weekend was a long geocaching hike on the Crown-Zellerbach Trail near Scappoose on Saturday, despite rain and hail. I'm making some progress in completing my second geocaching Fizzy Challenge (finding all 81 of the difficulty/terrain combinations).
