The Third February 2019 101/1001 Update
Feb. 14th, 2019 09:55 amLike an ability or a muscle, hearing your inner wisdom is strengthened by doing it. - Robbie Gass
Goals Completed: 24/108
Goals in Progress: 32
Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: I'm still in the gym when I can, working on endurance with treadmill work and sprints and running, on the stairclimber - however, The Fight for Air Challenge was postponed due to Portland's temporary inclement weather (where everybody freaks out with less than six inches of snow). Unfortunately, the date it's postponed to is when I'm already going to be in Texas. Next year! My baselines are still: pushups (25), situps (35).
Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I'm back to my practice of mindful eating, almost every day. I sat Zazen yesterday. Haiku yet again; I've still a bit behind. *smile*
Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: No progress.
In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: I have now completed 7 of the 10 quizzes, and I have confirmed that I have passed 3 of 10 state-certification practical tests for my EMT program. I passed my EMT midterm with an 89 (highest score was 91). I'm still working on the 30-minute deployment status for 'Ol Number 3, although I still haven't been at the bus much at all. I took a very good 'Stop the Bleed' class on tactical wound packing and tourniquet use yesterday; highly recommended. I will be at Winter Fire School all weekend. I have started the research to get permanent solar panels installed on the bus this month.
Travel/Adventure/Doing Stuff: I will likely get my nipple pierced this week.
Hiaku
Watching the river
slow muddy Willamette
breathing peacefully
Open to learning:
training opportunities
present themselves
a day to myself -
no responsibilities
what a precious gift!
