101/1001 Update
Mar. 7th, 2020 09:52 pmBelieve in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy. - Norman Vincent Peale
Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: Tomorrow I race the Fight for Air Stair Climb in my turnouts; I've been at the gym almost daily and/or manual labor at Base Station, and really working my legs and endurance. I am ready.
Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I finished Musashi's Dokkkodo, a good book and worth reading and keeping. I also sat zazen, a makeup for last month. Haiku below.
Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: No progress.
In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: No progress.
Base Station/Ol' Number 3: We are still partway through the excavation project to place underground power, and also excavate the hillside to create the addition where Ol' Number 3 will eventually be parked. The trenches have been dug, and the conduit placed. My next step is to regravel the driveway, as the rain has turned the driveway into mud soup. Gravel should arrive this week, and that will allow the contractor to get his trailer in and start building. The excavation project has continued to delay clearing the land for fruit tree orchard placement and setting up a garden. I will also be clearing some downed timber on the hillside to facilitate an RV Hookup for Ol' Number 3 this upcoming week.
Travel/Adventure/Doing Stuff: No progress.
My office had a successful 'soft open' and my clients are finding my new office more comfortable and more my therapeutic style. I'm still rearranging and adding things, but I'm overall happy with how the office looks and functions.
Hiaku
bookcase and files
big comfortable couch
all I really need
early unknowing
compromises, settling
heating frog water
progress, flowing on
removing the barriers
'No time for that!'
