I'm asking you, God, To give me what you have left.
Give me those things which others never ask of you
I don't ask of you for rest, or tranquility.
Not that of the Spirit, the Body, or the Mind.
I don't ask you for wealth or success or even health.
All these things are asked of you often,
that you can't have any left to give.
Give me instead what you have left,
what others don't want.
I want uncertainty and doubt.
I want torment and battle.
And please promise me you'll keep it coming.
But give me also the courage, the energy,
and the Spirit to face them.

- SPARTAN Race Prayer

Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: I've made more progress on the 100 pushups a day challenge; I'm now at 2 sets of 50 reps, with two extra sets of 34. I'm still taking daily long rucks in the neighborhood with my GoRuck bag, and an extra 7 pounds of hydration system has been added to the ruck. I'm still making good progress with the Oregon Coast Run/Walk/Bike Challenge.

Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I've finished Budoshoshinshu, When Breath Becomes Air, and Stitches. I'm adding Shunryu Suzuki's Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind from my permanent library, Upside: The New Science of Post-Traumatic Growth by Jim Rendon, for my next psychology-related list, and Search and Rescue by Dr. Christopher Van Tilburg for my disaster preparation list, to my reading pile. I'm still training mindfulness with my eating patterns, and I note that I've continued my daily calorie intake to an average of under 1900 calories a day, and still making increases to my activity level.

Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: The long ruck home after I dropped the daily driver off at my mechanic's shop was a good 5-mile test of my baseline ruck performance. The service and repair are complete and the daily driver is now in good shape, mechanically. I received my flu shot - a good idea, especially now, with the pandemic.

In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: No progress. Apparently, I had a typo, and I'd listed the same goal twice in this section. That's now been corrected to show the goals of Master Naturalist and Master Gardener training.

Base Station/Ol' Number 3: The internet and phone lines for Base Station are still pending. I still need to order the wire for the hookup; I assigned the measurement of the length we'd need, and didn't follow up. That means I will have to wait another week until I can get out there and pull mule tape through and measure it. My planter boxes for a Fall garden were built, and I delivered them to Base Station last week. I'm not sure of the exact placement yet for where I want them, but I know I want them out of the way of future heavy equipment operations. My herb garden is continuing to sprout.

Because I couldn't afford to buy a non-potable water tank last week, and because the trailer was full of planter boxes, the non-potable water system also got pushed back a week. I'll get the water tank tomorrow, and maybe the well pump. Instead, we made great progress cutting back some of the brush around the trailer, the Gate House, and Ol' Number 3 to create at least a Level 2 defensible space. We're about half done. A lot of work with a machete = more functional fitness! I still need to get bids for the concrete work for the base of the Pump House, the large vehicle pad, and the antenna base.

Travel/Adventure/Doing Stuff: I found two geocaches for the both of the two days I need in August for my Found by Found Date Stats. I will need four days in September and one day in February (I missed that day because of Winter Fire School) to complete that goal.
