With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts. - Eleanor Roosevelt

Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: I'm looking forward to another great adventure and virtual race this month with Team Park Sharks. *smile* I'm continuing to add the Spartan bodyweight exercises to my pushup challenge, although this seems to be a recovery week, as I've had lower energy and I've needed more sleep. I'm continuing 20 minutes of yoga to my mostly daily walk/ruck. I had a visit from President Amazon, who dropped off the Whorse, and my usual routine was a bit changed for a bit.

Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: This week, I've tended to fall asleep with a book in my hand, and very little memory of what I read. I'm still reading Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed, Shunryu Suzuki's Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind, and Being Wrong: Adventures in the Margin of Error by Kathryn Schulz. I'm still committing to training mindfulness with my eating patterns. Client calls, administration issues, the Whorse, and construction logistics and scheduling are all taking a lot of time, and everything seems to be accelerating. I haven't had a day off in months, and I'm not going to get any time to organize or prepare or learn for awhile.

Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: The Whorse, my Ranger Intercept Jeep, has even more problems; the transmission and the rear differential both need extensive work, as well as the two dry-rotted tires, and the hardtop, are all requiring work. *sigh* I did sign up for my BLS/CPR certification class. I renewed my driver's license and took care of all of my vehicle registration paperwork, and I'm still scheduled for both a dental and a regular physical exam in the next few weeks. I've completed some different CEU classes on domestic violence intervention, post-partum treatment, and substance use for older adults. Oh, and the daily driver is leaking coolant badly - that will get fixed tomorrow.

In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: No progress.

Base Station/Ol' Number 3: No progress on the internet connection. The Gate House has gotten all of the concrete trenching, all of the main plumbing, and basic framing of the interior done by the contractor. The septic field is mostly level, and we're waiting for better weather and drier soil conditions to trench and dig out the holes for the septic tank and the distribution box. I'll be ordering a couple of dump truck loads of gravel this week for the driveway and assorted projects.

For my birthday, The Old Man and Faye gifted me a new 5 x 10 trailer, and I'll be going back to Warrenton this week to pick up the 3000-gallon water tank for the Pump House. For the record, there was no cake but a chocolate bar and some good barbeque - not exactly my usual birthday celebration. Instead, we started painting the Gate House; so far, we've gotten three sides with one coat of primer. Everything will need two coats of primer, two coats of paint, and the trim before this project is completed. We've also started to secure everything for fall and winter weather, tarping the non-potable water system and putting away lumber. We've started to burn some of the slash pile in the fire pit, and Faye harvested some of the apples. I planted some of the cold-hardy whole apples in a tire planter for Spring.

Travel/Adventure/Doing Stuff: No progress.
