It takes as much energy to wish as it does to plan. - Eleanor Roosevelt

Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: We're planning on completing the March GoRuck 8-mile ruck this week, and the workout next week. I'm still keeping up on almost daily 3 x 60 pushups and 3 x 15 burpees, and I'll be bumping that up after the 8-miler to train for the March workout, and the postponed additional tasking: "do one miserable thing (with someone else) that you haven't done in at least a year. You should be scared, at least a little bit, to do it."

Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I'm still meditating daily, and continuing a mindful eating practice. I'm still reading Soul of the Samurai: Modern Translations of Three Works of Zen & Bushido, by Thomas Cleary. I'm also reading The Laws of Medicine: Field Notes from an Uncertain Science by Siddhartha Mukherjee. The Old Man is scheduled to undergo his second surgery, and he's gotten his first COVID-19 vaccination.

While we were unloading The Old Man's storage, we unearthed my mother's Chinese chest, and I now have it as an heirloom and remembrance of her. Also, more of my stuff in my Portland storage unit is coming out, being sorted and used, or going away. I'm looking forward to more of the Portland stuff going to Base Station.

Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: I finished more than 25 CEUs of interesting topics so far this year, completing this goal. All of the online courses I have taken had covered me for the year, except for one course in Counselor Ethics, so I found a free online course on that and completed it. I'm still planning on taking interesting courses; in fact, I recently took a DBT and Substance Use Disorders course, just for fun. I also completed my biannual NREMT recertification - but surprise! National requirements for recertification are more than the Oregon requirements. Some extra courses I'd taken made up for the difference except for one contact hour of Airway Management, so I found one online at 1 am and finished it. State recertification for Oregon is in June, and it will be just a formality.

I am starting to get organized and started preparing my office to see clients at some point in the future. I have been moving piles of books, getting current on my filing and chart management, clearing and organizing my desk, and putting up a whiteboard. I'll be installing a big bookshelf over my desk soon. The daily vehicles are now more functional. The new daily driver needed an oil sending unit and a new muffler - all completed. The old daily driver, now the Workhorse, has been busy with the trailer making storage trips and water/dump runs at Base Station.

In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: I'm still doing a weekly 3-hour comprehensive EMT refresher online.

Base Station/Ol' Number 3: The Pump House is now completed, with a 3500-gallon water tank in it. *smile* I will be following up with pump installation, purification and filtration systems, and plumbing this week.

The Old Man now has the majority of his stuff in the Gate House, and most of it is already organized. We unloaded his bed and transferred it from storage, with several more boxes of his stuff, and we celebrated with pie and ice cream. He's now able to be in the Gate House about 90% of the time. We are beginning to talk about setting up the radios and an antenna-raising party, and he's already set up a 2-meter radio to allow us to check in on the local HAM network. I will be slowly moving into the RV when I'm at Base Station and using Ol' Number 3 as storage (since it's already currently stuffed full of tools and gear) until the Pump House is finished with pump and filtration systems and we can move tools in there. I will also be setting up at least a simple garden soon.

Travel/Adventure/Doing Stuff: No progress.
