Today was spent cutting down blackberries around the big apple tree and clearing the back door around the greenhouse. There is still a lot of work to be done. We will probably be acquiring a burn barrel, and keeping it burning with blackberries vines and yard debris, much of the winter.

I do not think that I will be going to the Fall Equinox Festival this year. I’m just not decompressed enough, and I do not have the funds. *shrug* Next year.

We will, however, be going to the Lewis and Clark National Park/Fort Clatsop (#62) on Sunday for the day, which will complete the goal of 20 shorter (1-3 day) hiking/camping trips. There’s also an expert on cold weather survival who will be presenting there tomorrow, a topic of some interest for me.
