"Many times, there are things we fear. Many of our fears are based on unwillingness to change. Conquering fear is never an easy thing, but attainable if we are willing to work it through.

... the way to overcome your fears is to face them. As you dwell among them, learn more about them. As you learn more about them, you may find that they are predictable, controllable or at least bearable. As you learn, your mindset will change and fear may go by the wayside.

Remember the words of the Master Jedi Yoda, “Fear is the path to the dark side. Anger leads to fear, fear leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”

By facing your fear you can overcome it. By overcoming it you will open yourself wider, earn more respect and show others how to do the same."

"The mental attitude of Heihō is not different than that of the everyday attitude. In both peaceful times and in times of battle, it is the same. Be careful to ascertain the truth from a broad viewpoint. Do not become tense and do not let yourself go. Keep your mind on the center and do not waver. Calm your mind, and do not cease the firmness for even a second. Always maintain a fluid and flexible, free and open mind".

Musashi Miyamoto, The Book of Five Rings

No Design, No Conception: "Munen Muso". working through the difference between "Stickiness" is firm and "Entanglement" is weak.
In strategy your spiritual being must not be any different from normal. Both in fighting and everyday life you should be determined though calm. Meet the situation without tenseness yet not recklessly, your spirit settled yet unbiased. Even when your spirit is calm do not let your body relax, and when your body is relaxed do not let your spirit slacken. Do not let your spirit be influenced by your body, or your body be influenced by your spirit. Be neither insufficiently spirited nor over spirited. An elevated spirit is weak and a low spirit is weak. Do not let the enemy see your spirit. Musashi Miyamoto, The Book of Five Rings
thank you more will be in my journal ~ it is where I am striving to flow from, not necessarily where I am going. Love, pinkk {drowning perhaps in The Water Book}

A Master's Wisdom...

Is best observed by watching his students... as they learn to Fly through their stumbling Lessons... His Wisdom is not in the student that never hits the dirt... but in the student that finally takes to the air covered in mud from many falls that never defeated his desire for the Sky...

And a true Master never realizes he has become one, but rather always sees himself as the eternal student, and is only seen as a Master by those just steps behind him on the Path...

Different roles in this case is just layers of the same onion.

The connection i'd like to share with you is less about my superficiality and more about who i am learning to be in the world.

it is all about the perspective... to walk the Way in balance, a shining light and beackon of darkness, each step you take along the Path, there are those who teach you, and those who are taught by you, and those who walk beside you for even the briefest of moments matching your stride... learn from all, teach to all, shine to all... and to all you are a Master, to all but to yourself, to yourself you are the student... which is as it should be when one is the Tao, dear Grim-tse.

but don't go calling me Master *laughs hard*... for I still aspire to even be a good student... and my Child/Submissive within only blushes and runs away giggling all embarrassed and playfully shy, while my Queen/Goddess shakes her head in exasperated amusement, her eyes twinkling merrily.

Thank you for posting the Bruce Lee Attributes of a Warrior, Tig & Grim... they were inspiring and made my heart beat fast. Those shall go in my Journal.

*has bowed enough... gives you a big hug instead*

Thanks for posting these, I forgot that unless you are a member of my community you cannot read them.

Now owing you two phone calls. Perhaps live chat and coffee will pay off my debt sooner. Thank you so much for this, for the chat. Spirit is lifting.
