The Second September 101/1001 Update
Sep. 30th, 2017 10:33 pm“I will breathe.
I will think of solutions
I will not let my
worries control me.
I will not let my
stress break me.
I. will. simply. Breathe.
And it will be okay...
Because I don't quit."

After Burning Man, I've had a hard time getting back into the groove of things. I've made it to training once and the gym once - and not really done much with my body. This has been a hard month for me and for many of my clients, and crises have been frequent. There's been some mindful eating and less sleep than usual - except for one week where I slept basically all the time I wasn't working. No useful books (just distracting cheap paperbacks), no haiku, no formal meditation. There's been a lot of sadness and exhaustion, and random anger outbursts.
No maintenance tasks and no Zombie prep tasks have been accomplished - although I'm waiting for good weather next week to put on the decking on Ol' Number 3. I have gotten a shortened healing rafting trip with a few other Rangers, a day on the beach with Faye, and a CITO hike in Salem with Carla in the Travel/Adventure section.
*sigh* Okay, then.
The Plan for October: Daily meditation, getting caught up on my zazen practice. Getting my ass to the gym, a lot. Running and pushing myself in the gym will help with the anger. Eat and sleep mindfully. Read helpful and useful books. Train and study the Fire Sciences, and sort out my gear for the Fall and Winter months.
Time to get on it. *smile*
