The Next June 2019 101/1001 Update
Jun. 24th, 2019 11:45 pmMy father used to say that it's never too late to do anything you wanted to do. And he said, 'You never know what you can accomplish until you try'. - Michael Jordan
Goals Completed: 33/108
Goals in Progress: 27
Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: No real progress. The serious cold I picked up at the National Volunteer Firefighter Training Summit two weekends ago turned out to be a norovirus, and I'm still coughing and congested from that.
Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I am still continuing to meditate daily this month. I'm looking forward to taking retreat at the Zen Monastery tomorrow. That ought to complete two more goals. I'll be mostly offline until after Sunday.
Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: I have renewed my CPR/First Aid certification last Friday, completing that goal. Ol' Number 3 is still in the shop with cracked exhaust manifolds; I'm still technically homeless. She'll likely be finished next week.
In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: The foundation work is completed. Ol' Number 3 will be relocating and deploying to the Base Station after she gets fixed by my mechanic. I've got a new contractor bid in progress.
Travel/Adventure/Doing Stuff: I visited the B-17 Alliance Foundation Restoration Hangar and Museum, where they are restoring a complete B-17G WWII Bomber, restoring and repairing it down from the rivets to make it airworthy and flying. Fascinating to watch and learn about!
