The First New List Update!
Sep. 18th, 2019 08:18 amMy mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style. - Maya Angelou
Goals Completed: 0/101
Goals in Progress: 13
Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: No progress. I'm still continuing some functional fitness; Base Station digging has been good for my arms and core.
Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I reread Bushido, and read a new book, Emergency: This Book Will Save Your Life. I sat zazen this morning. Haiku is below.
Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: No progress.
In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: No progress.
Base Station/Ol' Number 3: I started digging out some of the hills near the old house pad to smooth out a dirt ramp and path to help with the deployment of Ol' Number 3; I'm about halfway done. I also got the trees cleared from the housepad with the chainsaw. Pepper and her daughter showed up to help; we got two loads of the illegal dump away from the entrance and transported to the real dump. Once that's done and Ol' Number 3 has been moved, then I keep digging out the hill for the pole barn and gathering good soil for garden boxes.
Travel/Adventure/Doing Stuff: I may go to a concert tonight, and a Curious Gorge hike tomorrow.
Haiku
Cool wet Fall,
Ryotetsu and I -
Zendo to ourselves
The land projects,
slowing down for weather,
working in the rain
Focus on my list
always manifesting
no more delays
