My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style. - Maya Angelou

Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: I've made more progress on the 100 pushups a day challenge; I'm now at 2 sets of 50 reps, with two extra sets of 50. I'm still taking daily long rucks in the neighborhood with my GoRuck bag, mostly at night due to the heat of the day. I'm close to finishing the Oregon Coast Run/Walk/Bike Challenge. I've signed up for the Virtual Spartan Race 2.0, and I'm going to be part of a couple of virtual races - one in September for prostate cancer research, and in October for World Central Kitchen.

Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I'm partway through Shunryu Suzuki's Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind from my permanent library, halfway through Upside: The New Science of Post-Traumatic Growth by Jim Rendon, for my next psychology-related list, and I haven't really started Search and Rescue by Dr. Christopher Van Tilburg for my disaster preparation list. I've gotten distracted with reading Brain on Fire: A Month of Madness by Susan Cahalan, and her journey and healing after being diagnosed with a very rare case of encephalitis. I'm still training mindfulness with my eating patterns, and I note that I have slightly increased my daily calorie intake to an average of just over 2000 calories a day, although I'm still maintaining increases of a high activity level that keep me 'under budget'.

Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: I have deferred my dental appointment until it's safer for routine dental cleaning.

In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: No progress.

Base Station/Ol' Number 3: The internet and phone lines for Base Station are looking hopeful; the subcontractors have painted locate lines and left notices in the mailbox at Base Station - we may have service in "two weeks". I have ordered the wire for the RV hookup, arriving Friday. My planter boxes for a Fall garden were placed, but their location doesn't get much morning sun - so I'll likely be relocating them. My herb garden is doing well. I have more effectively secured a 20-foot retractable flagpole to Ol' Number 3 that will also serve as an antenna platform, and also installed a solar trickle charger to maintain her house/starter batteries.

I also bought and delivered a non-potable water tank last week, and I'll be getting the shallow well pump today for the non-potable water project. We continue to make good progress towards cutting back some of the brush around the trailer, the Gate House, and Ol' Number 3 to create at least a Level 2 defensible space. I will be working on getting bids for the concrete work for the base of the Pump House, the large vehicle pad, and the antenna base this week.

Travel/Adventure/Doing Stuff: No progress.
