Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible. - Francis of Assisi

Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: We've completed the GoRuck Bataan Memorial WOD (9 rounds of 10 Slick Burpees over Sandbag/Ruck, 11 Deadlifts, 12 Thrusters with Ruck, 13 American Twists with Ruck, 14 Standing Arm Circles, 15 Neck Circles (Feet Elevated Position), 16 Sit-Ups with Ruck, and 170m Marches). The neck circles were the worst. *grin* We've also completed the 10-day consecutive 2-mile ruck, with one more of my days being a double-ruck. We still have the 12-miler to complete. I'm also making progress on the additional tasking. The 5 x 20 burpees test with a 1-minute break between sets was completed; now I'll switch my regimen to doing 2 and then 3 sets of 33 burpees, with the goal of the next test being 2 x 50 burpees with a 1-minute break between sets. I'm continuing to do 3 x 50 pushups, but improving my form to the APFT standard.

Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I am continuing my mindful eating practice. I'm still reading Meditations 4, by Thanissaro Bhikkhu (Geoffery Degraff), a short chapter or two at a time. I have finished reading The White Darkness by David Grann, the book of the month for the GoRuck Endure Challenge, a book about enduring South Pole exploration. I've also finished reading Building a Life Worth Living: A Memoir by Marsha M. Linehan. I have an entirely different and more complete perspective about the development and the usefulness of DBT after having read the book. I'm starting another Free Library find, Black Man in a White Coat: A Doctor's Reflections on Race and Medicine by Damon Tweedy, and also rereading one of my permanent library books, The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom by Don Miguel Ruiz.

Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: The Old Man's recovering well. He's back at Base Station with a follow-up appointment in a week or so. Things are beginning to be less stressful; soon, I may be up for some socializing.

In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: I'm still doing a weekly 3-hour comprehensive EMT refresher online. Next week: Medical Emergencies Overview. I have signed up for a full day shift at the station, and I'm being considered for some wildland firefighter training.

Base Station/Ol' Number 3: The Old Man has interviewed with a rescue organization, and now Base Station has Alfie, a 7-year-old English Springer Spaniel. *smile* "Alfie is snuggly, wiggly, and loves to chase a tennis ball. He’s looking for a Forever Home where he can be with his humans and play!" Welcome, Alfie! This weekend we are putting electrical power to the Pump House, and doing more digging on the RV Dump trench, and hopefully backfilling some of the trench by the RV. We're also planning a build-out/expansion of the Base Station party/visitor/sitting space, including a firewood chopping block and covered firewood rack, moving the existing space back to be out of the way for later pole barn construction.

Travel/Adventure/Doing Stuff: No progress.
