101/1001 Update
Mar. 26th, 2022 11:23 pm"Warriors train, everyone else works out." - Lahong Guro Earles
Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: I'm working up to 150 daily pushups, in three sets. Some sets are easier than others. I'm still experimenting with push-up bars, and I can do 20 pushups a set. I've attended three more Qigong/Tai Chi classes this week, staying masked. We have signed up for the Bridge to Brews 10K virtual race.
We completed the second and third of the Heavy Rucks (45 lbs. in my ruck). Both were urban night rucks with a waypoint at VooDoo Doughnuts, although we skipped the doughnuts on the third ruck. This completes the GoRuck March 'Courage' Challenge requirements, although we still have the bonus WOD left to do.
Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I'm halfway through My Name Is Bill: Bill Wilson--His Life and the Creation of Alcoholics Anonymous by Susan Cheever. I'm continuing my daily meditation for the month of March, and I've 'sat' yet another virtual Zazen loving-kindness metta.
New words: Ostensible means "seeming or said to be true or real but very possibly not true or real." Velleity is defined as “the lowest degree of volition or desire.” Specious means "having deceptive attraction or allure" or "having a false look of truth or genuineness."
Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: No progress. My CPR/BLS class is scheduled for next week.
In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: No progress.
Base Station/Ol' Number 3: We've installed a secure mailbox in a better location than the original mailbox, and a secure package/deliveries box has been built but not installed. Ol' Number 3's curtains are in progress.
Adventure/Doing Stuff: My virtual geocache, 'Portland Weird: The Freakybuttrue Peculiarium', was published - and found by the first geocacher within two hours of publishing. *smiles again* I have wanted for years to have a geocache in the Portland weird series.
