"Who dares, wins. Who sweats, wins. Who plans, wins". - David Stirling

Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: I'm struggling with my routine of 30 pushups, 30 air squats, 30 crunches, and 3 sets of 35 grippers every workday. I have trained in three Yang Style Tai Chi/Qigong classes this past week, and only one class this week (due to my student visiting from North Carolina).

We finally finished the May GoRuck 'Reverence' Challenge requirements, the second 5-mile Ruck, including "ruck[ing] 2+ miles in the vicinity of a local cemetery. No noise, only respect", and the additional tasking of visiting a grave and making an offering. We took a roundabout way, incorporating our first crossing of the Blumenauer Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge, to the Lone Fir Cemetery, one of the oldest cemeteries in Portland.

June GoRuck requirements left are to watch the Film of the month, The Best Years of Our Lives, and to complete the "Stirling" Hero WOD, which is 8 rounds of Max Reps Ruck Unbroken Push-Ups (30-lb.) and 74 Ruck Lunges (30-lb.), with the condition of, "If you don’t hit more than 5 push-ups then go slick (no weight)." We have continued August's 'Peace' rucking requirement of "31 total miles, broken down anyway throughout the month", and we're now up to 11.3 miles. We still have March's bonus WOD, all of July's Challenge, except for the rucking requirement, and all of August, September, and October's Challenge tasks. Our rucking progress has been temporarily delayed, but we'll be working harder this month to get more caught up.

Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: No progress.

Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: The Whorse is still 10-7. The mechanic is trying to find another subcontractor to rebuild the transmission. I've completed another 1-CEU online class in the Starlite CEU Series, Bringing Color to the Rainbow: Working with LGBTQIA+ Clients Struggling with Substance Abuse, and yet another online 1.5 CEU seminar, Domestic Violence 101 for Behavioral Health Practitioners. I've gotten my COVID-19 booster and my annual flu shot, with very mild side effects - I had a mildly sore arm for a few hours the next day.

In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: No progress.

Base Station/Ol' Number 3: I've finally replaced the broken curtain rod brackets in Ol' Number 3; I had ordered the wrong size again, but I've reordered the correct size. While I have it empty, I'll clean out the closet and reorganize it. The painting of the Gate House and the Pump House has finally happened, and that project is complete.

Adventure/Doing Stuff: My student, visiting for more than a week, meant that we had a quiet, considerably less physically active week, due to her health conditions. I did have a very small birthday celebration - lunch with the Old Man and Faye, and a nice steak dinner with Faye and my student.
