A soldier will fight long and hard for a bit of colored ribbon. - Napoleon Bonaparte

Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: I'm still getting back into my workday routine of 30 pushups (3 sets), three sets of grippers, 30 air squats, and 30 crunches; I again made no progress this week. I have trained in one Yang Style Tai Chi/Qigong class this week, the last class of the year. I'm still working on a weightlifting plan for the equipment in the dojo. For the 2022 GoRuck 'Life Has Risk' Challenges, we completed all of the requirements. We had an optional bonus WOD that we decided to not complete - so we will ruck the F*CK 2022 5K virtual race instead. A replacement patch for November's Goruck 'Freedom' was received and slapped on my ruck, and December's patch is waiting for me at Base Station.

For December's Goruck 'Fight' Challenge, we finally completed the 2-day WOD, with Day 1 being a 1-Mile Run/Shuffle, 50 Burpees, 50 Sit-Ups, 50 Push-Ups, 50 Air Squats, 50 4-Count Mountain Climbers, 50 4-Count Jumping Jacks, and 50 4-Count Flutter Kicks (all with a baseline weight ruck except for the burpees). Day 2 was 10 Man Makers, 50 Plank Ruck Pull-Through, 400m Ruck, 10 Man Makers, 50 Ruck Press/Leg Lifts, 400m Ruck, 10 Man Makers, 50 Ruck Twists (2-Count), and a final 400m Ruck (with baseline ruck weights). As I was sore and tired from Day 1's workout, and on the verge of hurting myself, I went slick for the second and third sets of Man Makers. As we've already finished the rucking requirement, the additional tasking, and the book of the month, we're calling the 2022 GoRuck 'Life Has Risk' series complete.

Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I finished The Fate of Food: What We'll Eat in a Bigger, Hotter, Smarter World by Amanda Little, an interesting read about agricultural practices with climate change and expanding populations. I'm still reading How to Be Compassionate: a Handbook for Creating Inner Peace and a Happier World by The Dalai Lama XIV and Jeffrey Hopkins, The Not So Big Life: Making Room for What Really Matters by Sarah Susanka, Hope Dies Last: Keeping the Faith in Difficult Times by Studs Terkel.

Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: The transmission for The Whorse is finally being shipped to the mechanic.

In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: No progress.

Base Station/Ol' Number 3: No progress. We were out at Base Station for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with the Old Man. Besides pork ribs on Christmas Eve and prime rib on Christmas day, I was able to make some good progress with organizing some of the Pump House and Ol' Number 3, making some significant space in the bus. The Pump House will be temporarily stacked high with totes, but there will be room for a new tool cabinet I got for my birthday. A mouse had found some fruit jerky in my pantry, and had made quite a mess - but that's now cleaned up, and my pantry is now cleaned and sanitized and also reorganized. Faye took on a big land management project, clearing some old, big blackberry bushes.

Adventure/Doing Stuff: No progress.
