101/1001 Update
Feb. 25th, 2024 09:02 pm“If I really want to improve my situation, I can work on the one thing over which I have control – myself.” - Stephen Covey
Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: February's 'Regret' Challenges are done. I still had the F*CK, which was 2 minutes of Max Reps Sandbag or Kettlebell Turkish Get-Ups, and I got that done. Although I was more efficient with the sandbag movement, I used a heavier sandbag - and did the same amount as in 2022. I've signed up for the Donut Dash in mid-March.
Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I'm making steady progress with the books I have read this entry, including The Inside Track: An Inspirational Guide To Conquering Adversity by Peter Sage, The Disaster-Ready Home: A Step-by-Step Emergency Preparedness Manual for Sheltering in Place by Creek Stewart, and Hidden in Plain Sight: Esoteric Power Training Within Japanese Martial Traditions: Tracing the Roots of Ueshiba Morihei's Power, by Ellis Amdur(editor). I have finished The Method of Zen by Eugen Herrigel.
Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: No progress. The Daily Driver was dropped off to the mechanic. The check engine light came on, and the ATF leaking was worse. She'll be out of service for at least a week, maybe longer, while they rebuild the power steering pump.
In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: I attended the Providence EMS, Stroke, and Heart Conference this week, earning all of my EMT Cardiology requirements.
Base Station/Ol' Number 3: No progress. Septic trenching should have started this week, and then gravel on the driveway once the septic trenching has been completed. The geoengineering plans for the shop build are finally completed and awaiting decisions about bids and permitting.
.
Adventure/Doing Stuff: I did see the HUMP! Film Festival this week, for my tenth play or performance of this goal list.
