"Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value." – Albert Einstein

Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing Myself: I've only trained in one Shaolin Kung Fu class this week, so far. I've not progressed with the Yang Staff Form but I continue to make good progress with the Shaolin sword form. I've started training for the Donut Dash next week.

March's GoRuck 'Accept' Challenges dropped, late as usual. The workout is 'The Shannon', in honor of Navy Chief Petty Officer Shannon M. Kent, 35, one of four Americans killed by a suicide bomber in Syria on January 16, 2019. It's a 35-minute AMRAP of a 1-minute Sandbag Deadlift Hold, 16 Burpees, a 200m Run, and 19 Sandbag Thrusters, all while wearing my 20-lb. weight vest for the entire workout, using my 60-lb. Sandbag. The book of the month is Faith, Hope and Carnage by Nick Cave and Seán O'Hagan. The F*CK was 1 Minute Max Rep Sandbag Thrusters, using my 60-lb. Sandbag. The rucking and additional challenge is to, "Ruck 1 Mile Per Day Every Day. Bring a friend, family member or pet for at least 1 of those miles each week. You pick the load". I started behind, as I was on vacation until the 2nd, but I'm caught up as of today. Additionally, I've completed the F*CK (60-lb. sandbag, 23 Sandbag thrusters).

Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I'm making steady progress with the books I have read this entry, including The Inside Track: An Inspirational Guide To Conquering Adversity by Peter Sage, The Disaster-Ready Home: A Step-by-Step Emergency Preparedness Manual for Sheltering in Place by Creek Stewart, and Hidden in Plain Sight: Esoteric Power Training Within Japanese Martial Traditions: Tracing the Roots of Ueshiba Morihei's Power, by Ellis Amdur(editor).

Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: No progress. The Daily Driver was dropped off to the mechanic, the ruptured power steering line was replaced, and my brakes were also serviced. Because it turned out to be just the line, I didn't need to have the power steering pump rebuilt. I've had my follow-up checkup with my Doctor.

In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: No progress.

Base Station/Ol' Number 3: Septic trenching has started, weather permitting. Heavy equipment is already on the property, and graveling the driveway and minor improvements are also going on. The geoengineering plans for the shop build are finally completed and I'm still awaiting decisions about bids and permitting.
.
Adventure/Doing Stuff: I took a road trip to Northern California, shanghaied by a friend who knew I hadn't had a vacation in a long while. We tent and car camped, except for the last night when I used one of my free nights in a McMenamins Hotel. We went to Lassen National Park, but the snow meant that the park wasn't open. We went after two of the remaining oldest 100 geocaches left in the world, and I found both of them - both involved hiking 3+ miles of slopes and ridgelines, but one was in 60-degree sunshine and the other in 40-degree rain and slippery mud. Both epic finds and stories! I also went to see the 21st Anniversary of March Forth Marching band, on March fourth. at The Crystal Ballroom - I'd seen them in the past, and they seemed lower energy this time.
