A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer. ― Bruce Lee

Body/Martial Arts/Physical Improvement/Testing: I'm back to my weekly Shaolin Kung Fu class after two weeks off; we're still working on the nunchaku form and our Circle of Basics. I'm still recovering from the cold/virus I picked up in Seattle, and everyone else is also still under the weather - so, class was canceled this last week.

October's GoRuck 'Adventure' Challenges are ongoing, but almost complete. All that's left for this month is the F*CKs, max reps of pushups in 2 minutes, and max forearm plank for time. November's GoRuck 'Awe' Challenges posted more than 16 hours late. The workout is again the “CHAD 1000X,” which is 1,000 box step-ups completed as a team, partner, or individual for time, wearing my ruck, "[in] honor of Navy SEAL Chad Wilkinson who died by suicide on October 29, 2018 due to the effects of numerous deployments, several TBIs, blast wave injuries and PTSD. Our goal is to honor Chad’s life and legacy and to raise awareness for suicide prevention around Veterans Day every year." The Rucking and Additional Challenges requirement is, "Ruck a 5k (3.1 miles) each week in November & if possible join a turkey trot in your area on Thanksgiving day or find a buddy to ruck with!" The F*CK is Sandbag Thrusters, max reps for 2 minutes, and each rep must have a full depth squat and full lockout overhead. The book is Awe: The New Science of Everyday Wonder and How It Can Transform Your Life by Dacher Keltner.

For Weeks 1 and 2, I got in my 5K rucking, but I haven't had a lot of energy for my overdue F*CKs.

Mind/Spirit/Centering/Health: I'm still rereading The Teachings of Don Juan: Journey to Ixtlan by Carlos Castaneda from my permanent martial arts library, and A New Mourning: Discovering the Gifts in Grief by Georgena Eggleston.

In Case of Zombies/Disaster Preparation: I'm continuing Jim Cobb's Countdown to Preparedness book/assignments. Week 22 is firearms, and I still need to check, clean, and practice more with my existing gear. Week 22 is still on hold. I'm in good shape for Week 35, NonFood Pantry Items. I stocked up on paper plates and bowls, wooden utensils, paper towels, and toilet paper, and I have enough trash bags and hand sanitizer. These items save water that would have been used for washing.

Maintenance/Shit Got To Be Done: I'm still working through the life insurance policies and the legal issues; another stack of mail showed up. There has been no update with The Whorse. The Daily Driver is going in for front wheel bearings next week.

Base Station/Ol' Number 3: No progress. Some transferring of stuff/organization happened, but a work weekend is in order - soon.

Travel/Adventure/Doing Stuff: I attended another Cigar Club event, earning my first club tape patch, and my name tape patch is on the way. I DM'd PDX-Rated. I also attended an in-person class, Intermediate Dungeon Monitor Training: Rope Theory and Practice for Dungeon Monitors and a virtual class, Ouch! Aging in Kink. I also took a two-day rainy road trip out to the coast, grabbed a bunch of McMenamins stamps, and visited the Cannon Beach History Center and Museum, where I saw the cannon that Cannon Beach was named for, among other interesting things.
