Communication, and an update
Aug. 18th, 2006 02:30 pmHmmm. Thank you to those who commented, for the lessons. I'm working on that, and I will individually reply to your comments when I have time today. Now that I am paying attention to myself, I seem to speak as if everyone will understand me, although no one could be able to follow completely because they haven't read the same books and put things together with the same filters in the same way that I have. I notice I operate out of my most blocked chakras, and true intimacy is definitely one of my weaknesses.
I am working on acting and speaking and writing in a measured way, without fear or innuendo.
I am on day two of my fast, which started Wednesday night at midnight. I am detoxifying quickly, and I notice that I am sleeping quite a bit more and smell funny and I have bad breath. :> I had fairly low energy last night, but it is starting to rise already. My sense is that I have already detoxed much of the medications and processed food from this year, but I could be wrong.
I have met with two of the other three Interns. I've completed most of the preliminary paperwork, and had the pre-employment drug screen, and met my direct clinical supervisor, Dr. Clark, on the Geropsychology Unit. I spent some time after orientation with Katrina, who lives in Durham with her husband, and she has offered to carpool with me on the days when riding a motorcycle would be difficult. She has similar music tastes as mine, and I think we will get along well.
I have found the Masonic lodge in Creedmoor.
Tomorrow I will help with the red-belt and black-belt certifications for both the Butner and Chapel Hill Tang Soo Do dojangs, which happen every six months with every high-ranking belt, to insure that they stay current with their techniques and conditioning. Master Tim, who is becoming my dojang mentor, will pick me up. I expect to watch and learn a lot.
