For those on the same Path...
Jan. 7th, 2007 04:51 pm"Almost all humans...have strange imaginings. The strangest of these is a belief that they can progress only by improvement. Those who understand will realize that we are much more in need of stripping off than adding on."
Food for thought, from Doris Lessing, courtesy of Karlyn. A nice compliment to my earlier post.
Thank you, Karlyn.

Date: 2007-01-07 11:51 pm (UTC)Be mindful of two things. One is don't get so busy "doing" that you are not taking enough time to "be". Sometimes we just have to "be" with the the energy, "be" with an emotion, "be" with an event or trauma.
The second thing is, really check within to make sure that all this work and activity you are so ardently pursuing is not a symptom of you holding expectations. As in, you are holding on too tightly to outcomes. And check within to make sure that all this activity is not simply a way to avoid other things, like thinking, or feeling, or whatever one might want to avoid by filling one's day with as much activity as possible.

Date: 2007-01-09 10:14 pm (UTC)It seems as if much of what I'm 'doing' is finishing, or polishing, what has already been done. Very little is new activity, but things that happen so that I can be done with them, that I was afraid of. This helps me manifest avoiding avoidance. *smile*
