Goals/Life Update - Day 207/1001
Apr. 29th, 2012 10:39 pmGoals Completed: 7
Goals in Progress: 23
Body: I trained three classes this week (#1, #2, #11) with less coughing and breaks, and I worked three shifts (Weapons, Forms, and Sparring) as a Ring Coordinator at our local tournament for a three-class credit, so I'm again current on my classes. I started pushups (#5) and situps (#6), and made slight progress in both categories. I'm still weak and struggling to maintain breathing after a form or extended exertion, and I'm not yet in shape to safely compete or to spar. When I'm able, I'll likely be focusing on fasting (#12), and increasing my exercise as my body permits. I'm being patient; my strength and endurance are returning.
Mind: I've started rereading Castaneda's Journey to Ixtlan (#28). I'll likely be starting my mindful eating practice (#27) this week, working on eating a lower cholesterol diet.
Work: Still cutting down and controlling my work email (#50).
Life: I volunteered again at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore this week, as well as three shifts for the 10th Annual Texas Tang Soo Do Classic, and completed Ranger Training for the Flipside 2012 Safety Training (#77). I'm scheduled to complete the American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers certification next Sunday (#70), just in time for Flipside. The Central Texas Medical Clinic provided my bloodwork labs, and I'm in good shape in almost every category, although my cholesterol is in the high range (#85). Working on it.
