Goals/Life Update - Day 241/1001
Feb. 27th, 2015 04:21 pmPerhaps you will forget tomorrow the kind words you say today, but the recipient may cherish them over a lifetime. - Dale Carnegie
Goals Completed: 7
Goals in Progress: 28
This week we were oriented to station (#67) and issued our training bunker gear and turn-outs. We were issued the black training helmets, and used and not-in-service turn-outs. Once we’re closer to completing the academy, we’ll be issued better gear and yellow duty helmets. SCBA is March 7th; first, we will certify to be a Hazmat First Responder today and this weekend.
I’m still reading my new spirituality book (#18), and I’m still continuing my daily meditation practice (#22), my training (#01, #10) and doing three sets of 40 push-ups and sit-ups (#07, #08).
On my February 3/10 Challenge, I only was able to complete one goal of traveling by train (#89). However, I’ve made significant progress with 14 goals. I’ve managed to attend a CERT class (#60), find more Grimm geocaches (#86), write my monthly haiku (#19), attend two performances (#36), complete more CEUs (#41), start the Firefighter 1 Academy (#67), cut out more blackberries (#77), dig out more of the irrigation ditch (#80), continue my training (#01, #10), continue working on push-ups and sit-ups (#07, #08), continue my daily meditation practice (#22) and update my First Aid/CPR (#46) certification.
Next month, with the demands of the Firefighter Academy, I’ll focus on making significant progress on just 12 goals.
