Goals/Life Update - Day 677/1001
May. 8th, 2016 11:02 amBetter to live one year as a Tiger,
than a hundred as a sheep.
~ Madonna
Goals Completed: 20
Goals in Progress: 28
Much continues to happen since my last update. *smile* Most of my personal life has changed, some of it for the better. I’ve kept up with at least minimal training (#01, #10) and continuing to eat more mindfully (#14). I’m still working on creating an exercise regimen that I can do every day that allows for more rehab of my arm and shoulder.
I may be engaging in a Puja (#13) this summer, although there’s a few issues that need to be worked out. I’ve packed my altar away, but it’s now on the bus where I can actually use it. I haven’t yet written May’s haiku (#19). I’m reading Grossman’s On Combat, a fascinating read about the physiology and psychology of conflict (#18).
I’ve had a good dental checkup (#50), and I’m set to renew my CPR/BPLS (#46) this month at the Red Cross Disaster Academy. I’ve made a lot of progress with getting my Firefighter 1 certification (#68), spending a whole day practicing Firefighter Survival, Fire Attack, Egress Protection, RIT, Tactical Ventilation, and other skills I need to learn at a training facility - I finally got to experience my first flashover! Yesterday, a geocaching friend and I took an extreme hike (about 10 miles) to get two of the oldest remaining geocaches in Oregon (#84, #92), an awesome day of being outside.
Most importantly, though, I will be moving and living on Ol’ Number 3 again, probably in Portland. I expect to be relocated by early June. I continue to make significant progress with organizing #3 for deployment (#69).
